How to Enable the Audience Insights Pixel

The Audience Insights Pixel delivers important data on your site's monetizable page views, allowing us to assess expected ad performance and optimize your ad campaigns. For more details, please check our FAQ on Audience Insights.

Important:
If you’re using WordPress with the latest version of the EmpowerLocal WordPress plugin, Audience Insights is automatically installed; no further action is required. This guide applies only to non-WordPress sites or WordPress users not utilizing our plugin. Unsure if you have the latest plugin version? Click here for instructions on how to check.

Follow the steps below to activate this feature on your website!

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Turn on Audience Insights

1. Log In to the EmpowerLocal Dashboard
   • Start by logging in to your EmpowerLocal account.
      
2. Navigate to Ad Configuration
   • Once logged in, head to the Ad Configuration section in the dashboard.
      
3. Select the "JavaScript" Tab
   • At the top of the Ad Configuration page, click on the JavaScript tab.
      
4. Copy the Audience Insights Script
   • In Step 1 on this page, you’ll see a script specifically generated for your site. Copy this script code.
      
5. Paste the Script in Your File
   • Open your website’s HTML header or footer file and paste the copied script before the closing </head> tag.
      
6. Select the Correct Site for Multiple Websites
   • If you manage multiple websites with EmpowerLocal, be sure to select the correct site from the dropdown menu in the upper left corner of the dashboard before copying the script. Each script is unique to a specific site and must be applied individually.

Once these steps are completed, Audience Insights will be enabled for your site, and you’ll start receiving valuable data on your audience’s monetizable views.
