Adding or Updating EmpowerLocal Ads.txt Lines in BLOX CMS

Adding EmpowerLocal ads.txt lines ensures that our campaigns are authorized to run on your site, helping maximize your ad revenue. Follow these simple steps to retrieve and add your unique EmpowerLocal ads.txt lines in BLOX CMS.

Step 1: Retrieve Ads.txt Lines from the EmpowerLocal Dashboard

1. Log in to the EmpowerLocal Dashboard

   • Go to the EmpowerLocal Dashboard and log in with your credentials.

2. Access Ad Configuration

   • In the left navigation, click on Ad Configuration.

3. Toggle to the Javascript Tab

   • At the top of the Ad Configuration page, toggle over to the Javascript tab.

4. Copy the Ads.txt Lines

   • Under Step 2 for ads.txt, click the Copy button to copy the ads.txt lines. These lines will be pasted into your BLOX CMS ads.txt file.

Step 2: Add Ads.txt Lines in BLOX CMS

1. Log in to BLOX

   • Open your BLOX CMS login page and sign in with your credentials.

2. Open Settings for Ads.txt

   • Click on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the BLOX CMS dashboard.
   • Scroll down to the Other section and click on Settings.

3. Access Authorized Digital Sellers

   • In the Settings window that opens, select Authorized Digital Sellers.

4. Add EmpowerLocal Ads.txt Lines

   • If the text box is blank, paste in the lines you copied from the EmpowerLocal Dashboard.
   • If there are existing lines in the box, scroll down to the bottom of the current lines and paste the new EmpowerLocal lines underneath. Be careful not to overwrite any existing ads.txt lines—add the new lines in addition to any that are already there.

5. Save Changes

   • Click the Save button to apply the changes.

6. Close the Settings Window

   • Once saved, you can close the Settings window.

You can check your ads.txt file by navigating to your domain with /ads.txt at the end of the URL. Here is an example: https://YOURDOMAIN.com/ads.txt.
